The Pirates of the Caribbean will wear the Z Zegna formal wear

Skipper Paul Cayard and his crew have adopted a Z ZEGNA total look when their boat gear are to be replaced and will wear a formal suit iscovering the unique style of this fashion brand, the latest collection by the historical Maison Ermenegildo Zegna.

A personal friend of the family who has always greatly praised both the quality and style of Zegna, Paul Cayard himself has selected Z ZEGNA for his Pirates during his brand new adventure around the world on board of The Black Pearl.

Inspiration for the current Z Zegna collection is tied to the world of cinema and a restyling of costumes used on movie sets. One of these outfits – a sleek black stretch suit with pagoda shoulders worn in true pirate style with a white shirt with handmade appliqués and oversized collar and cuffs – was chosen for Paul and his crew.

“I selected garments that are elegant yet nice for the Pirates to wear. My Pirates are the depiction of the true modern man,” said Paul Cayard.

If Z Zegna represents masculine elegance aboard the Black Pearl, it was only natural then, following the same stylish approach, to choose Agnona, the luxury women’s brand that joined Zegna Group in 2000, to dress the four female crew members who will participate in the race alongside Paul Cayard’s pirates. For them, Agnona created outfits that perfectly combine the femininity and charming elegance of lady pirates: fitted black stretch cotton Capri pants worn with a white silk blouse decorated with ruffles. The outfit is completed with a light jacket in soft black cashmere.

Paul Cayard has raced on a number of occasions during the Ermenegildo Zegna Trophy in Portofino where in 2006 its 25th anniversary celebrations will be held.
