Joining him was Mr Peter Chau, MBE, QPM, CPM, Chairman of the Executive Board, Hong Kong Air Cadet Corps (HKACC) and top model Lisa S.. Upon landing, they were welcomed by Specialist Flight Lieutenant Michael F. Wong, the founder of “Operation Flying Eagle”. They were also received by the HKACC Ceremonial Squadron and Air Commodore Brian Butt, AE, Commandant of the Air Cadet Corps.

Later he visited the NASA museum in Houston, USA with OMEGA where he first met astronaut Eugene Cernan, the “Last Man on the Moon”.
The two were reunited in Hong Kong for the launch of the X-33 Speedmaster in 1999. After this meeting, Michael F. Continuing his passion for aviation, Wong initiated the “Operation Flying Eagle” programme as a way to support the HKACC and to give its cadets regular and routine flying experience.
